[Her hurt rebounds backwards, and though he can feel something in his chest tugging to fix it, he cannot find it within him to take it back. After all, he hadn't said it to hurt her -- not really. It was just the fact of the situation.

So, rather than listen to the very quiet voice telling him to leave her be, he softly walks up behind her and hovers to look out the window as well. There isn't much to see beyond the blur of color from the lights illuminating the streets. Even the people are just blurs, moving both swiftly and lazily, kicking up water as they go.

One hand comes up beside her, the tech on display.]


I dislike being trapped here because we are already at their mercy. Forget their mercy.

[His tone, while even, is a touch dark.]

We do not have to trade it. But... [Hold on, gathering pride.] ...I would have us use it. Whatever it might be.
